MANIFESTO
“I don’t want to set the world on fire; I just want to start a flame in your heart”
I, Pravendra Singh Mahla, bearing ID No. 2007A2PS535P, contesting for the post of President, BITS Students’ Union, hereby present my manifesto:
1. FOOD COURT
Setting up of a food court which will bring the following brands under one roof.
- Domino’s Pizza
- Yo! China
- Bikanervala
- Mr. and Mrs. Idli
- HAS Juice Bar
2. STUDENTS’ UNION FOR THE STUDENTS
- Meetings, Discussions & Interactions with Students’ Union of different colleges all over India.
- Involving and updating GBM about the Union’s work through SU website, blog, newsletter, discussion forum etc.
3. ECONOMICAL TRAVEL SOLUTIONS
- Ensuring a regulation and standardization of fares of auto/rickshaw operating inside the campus.
- Arrangements of CABS/BUSES at extremely competent prices for BITS students in the beginning and at the end of semesters.
4. PCs AT DISCOUNTED PRICES
Providing HP & Dell laptops at discounted prices throughout the year.
5. PROMOTING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY
- Steps will be taken to eradicate Child-Labour in the campus and provide them with formal education
- An active and vigorous campaign for making our university cleaner and greener.
6. HIGHER DEGREE STUDENTS’ INVOLVEMENT
Steps will be taken for active involvement of higher degree students in organization of OASIS and APOGEE, so that their expertise and experience can be put to best use.
If elected, I would fulfill the duties of the President to the best of my abilities and strive for the pinnacle during the quest with my team members. Apart from the above mentioned points, ideas from the GBM shall always be welcomed and acted upon.
